The Generac LP3250: Facts and Figures

Selecting the best portable generator can be a difficult task. Everyone wants something that's user-friendly, inexpensive and reliable. I did my research, looking through dozens of generators and i have come to the conclusion that propane generators are one of the best that you can buy.

One of the most popular propane generators is definitely the Generac LP3250, which is the one I decided to purchase.

Here is a writeup on my practical experiences using this generator. I'll be as thorough and straightforward as is possible. If you think my review is incorrect, please inform me on the comment section below.

To start with, let us take a peek at the specifications. The Generac LP3250 is a portable propane generator with a wheel dolley kit for simple moving and an built in propane tank holder that can hold a 20 or 30 lb propane tank. For almost all propane generators the propane tank is placed beside the generator on the floor, so moving it about with the tank attached is cumbersome at best.

The LP3250 is ideal for outdoor camping trips, outdoor happenings, construction sites and emergency backup power. It can reliably produce approximately 3250 watts of power, with a maximum power output of 3750 watts. This is certainly a sufficient amount of power to run the majority of home appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, security systems and computers, even though you do need to be mindful with those because the generator doesn't have a pure sinewave inverter. Basically meaning that it can harm sensitive electronic products.

With regard to job sites and gardening applications the Generac LP3250 will easily operate most power tools like circular saws, belt sanders or hedge trimmers, and also other light electrical construction and gardening equipment.
To keep the engine in good condition, the Generac LP3250 features a low-oil shutdown feature on its 212cc OHV (overhead valve) motor. The generator is also built with splash lubrication and a good quality alternator that will keep the electrical devices operating smoothly. Nonetheless as mentioned before it doesn't deliver pure sinewave quality electricity rendering it possibly damaging for delicate electronics. The two 120V AC and one 120/240V AC outlets have got circuit breakers that protect against potential overloads to some degree.

The light and hassle-free design of the power generator makes it very easy to move about and two people will be able to simply lift it onto a pickup truck or into a suv. Assembling the LP3250 only takes around 15-20 minutes using a set of standard tools. The generator can then be switched on immediately following putting your unit together.
